• "How do you do that?"

One ring at a time, friend. There's no shortcuts, no easy way to do it. I learned my first weave, Helm Weave, from a chainmail kit I picked up at a hobby store, and through my curiosity, I found websites with tutorials and information on chainmail, and it just sort of spiraled out of control. Later, I'll put a list of recommended reading here.

  • "That looks tedious."
While it isn't a question this is, hands down, the statement I hear the most. It depends entirely on your point of view. For me, I find a lot of artistic disciplines incredibly tedious. Painting, for example, I just have no patience for. Chainmail, for me, is therapeutic. The action of opening and closing hundreds of thousands of little rings just puts me in a place of mind removed from all my trouble, and I can easily lose whole days working on a particularly complex project. So much so, I often forget to eat!

  • I'm allergic to [nickel, copper, latex, etc], can I wear your jewelry?

Unless specifically noted, yes. Our jewelry and findings are, to the best of our knowledge, 100% nickel free. A lot of our more intricate pieces are made out of base metals; meaning copper or alloys containing coppers, in this case. Our Stretchy-Half Persian bracelets use rings made of EPDM Rubber. In a nutshell, EPDM is a synthetic, latex-free rubber.
